Westminster Teak Assembly
For nearly two months, many writers and graphic artists have worked together to actively describe and display the many outdoor teak products available at London Teak. However, we never had a chance to take a look and examine the glory of teak in person. We finally received a very large shipment of Westminster Teak furniture products ranging from teak tiles, tables, sofa sets and a very extravagant and unique rocking chair for display in our storefront.
After clearing out some additional space in our Orlando outlet, we began to lay down 20 boxes of teak tiles (4 each), to serve as a foundation for the rest of the teak furniture display. We immediately noticed a leathery aroma and waxy feel of this unfinished, untreated teak wood, straight from the manufacturer. Many of the furniture pieces were ready to use right of the the box and only required cutting nylon straps. Others required some assembly with only a Phillips screw driver and a rubber mallet.

All the tools you’ll need.

The furniture pieces that required assembly were simple and easy to put together. All necessary hardware such as screws, dowels and other components were safely secured to the furniture, ready to be fitted. Westminster Teak also included extra dowels and screws just in case they get lost during assembly. Each joint matched and fitted perfectly with corresponding numbers. Before we secured the legs to the tables with the dowels and screws, we placed all components together to be certain that it fitted properly.
Majority of the furniture that required assembly was put together in very little time and minimal effort. However, our most impressive and anticipated furniture piece, the rocking chair, took us the most time and effort to assemble. However, it was worth it. This rocking chair is one of the most sophisticated and unique furniture pieces in our teak display.
The teak umbrella was one of the simplest pieces to put together. We screwed in the bottom to the top, then added the Sunbrella™ fabric to the umbrella, and voilà!
Finally, having the chance to see teak furniture for our very own eyes was a spectacle and a learning experience for all of us. We were highly impressed by the packaging and how easy the furniture was able to be assembled. This is why The Wall Street Journal rated Westminster Teak as “Best Overall”.
